Posting

Posting journal entries during month or year end accounting periods. For instance, at the accounting department I worked for, all people would post their entries of the month prior to month end (1st of the following month) to make sure the books are updated. Examples of posting journal entries include bank deposit journal entries, commissions accruals, adjusting entries, account interface entries, inventory writeoff entries, revenue recognition entries, Purchase Order writeoff entries, etc.
